The Best Broadway Musical I’ve Ever Seen: Wicked

DSC03478

Of the few musicals that I’ve ever seen in my life, Wicked is the best Broadway musical I’ve ever seen! This is the untold story of the witches of Oz and of what happened long before Dorothy clicked the heels of her red shoes and said “there’s no place like home”.

Wicked plays at the Gerswin Theater and from the moment you walk in, there’s something about the place that hooks you.

The stage, the setting, the costumes…everything is perfect. On the night we went, Alyssa Fox starred as Elphaba and she was outstanding. I still get goose bumps thinking about how she sang the iconic song Defying Gravity!

Ginna Claire Mason starred as Glinda and she was perfect for that role! The most famous actor was, perhaps, Peter Scolari as the Wizard of Oz (you might know him from TV and film) and people did line up by the stage door to get his autograph after the show was over.

I would go see Wicked again, for sure! And I would recommend anyone to go see it too. In my humble and non-professional opinion, this is exactly what Broadway is supposed to be. This is an incredible Broadway show! I would absolutely go see it again.
