I woke up at 4:50 am because it was too hot in the hotel room we were staying in. I lowered the temperature, went back to sleep and got up at 6:00 am.
By 7:00 am we were having breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant (black coffee and an English breakfast with toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and baked beans) before making our way from Gatwick’s north to south terminal where we checked in our luggage, went into the British Airways lounge and sat for about 30 minutes.
We boarded around 8:45 am and departed London on an 8-hour flight straight to Punta Cana.
The flight was comfortable enough and we had seats (booths) on row 12. We got a lot of food, which I think we usually get when flying on business, and I was wondering why (once again kicking myself) for eating everything…way too much food when I wasn’t even that hungry. I did say no to the English tea with sandwiches, cakes and scones they served about an hour before landing.
We were out of the airport in practically no time, got picked up by James and drove home. We stopped at the supermarket real quick and spent the rest of the day unpacking, doing laundry, cleaning up.
Anders went out and got pizzas for dinner. I ate a quarter and loaded up with a huge salad.
We watched Suits and around 8-8:30 pm, I was wiped out.
