Document Your Life #6 – First Day at the Office & It’s Nice to Be Back

Today was my 1st at the office since I left for Europe in July. I woke up around 5:30 am and couldn’t fall back asleep. Maybe it was part jet lag, part excitement of going “back to work” again, but I decided to get up and get started.

It was still dark (and hot) outside. I started with a 25 minute T25 high intensity workout that I definitely needed. I love starting my day with a workout. It really gets everything going and gives me energy for the rest of the day.

By 9 am, I was in the office and spent some time talking with part of my team, getting caught up on what’s been going on over the last month and listening to their comments. We had a few things to discuss and to resolve, which we quickly managed to do.

Communication really is key in all aspects, and I’m always happy when I can be available and when they need and want my help. That’s why I love working at the office, when I could really just work from anywhere or work from home. I love it because then I’m right there and it’s easy to talk about things, and they can get answers easily and instantly. Communication is key. Gotta remember that, always.

Things are a little quiet for the team right now, because we’re still in low (tourist) season. But my work with updating our company websites, producing content and planting seeds on social media is constant.
